Inclusive Innovation

While women have made great strides in growing businesses and creating jobs over the past few decades, significant challenges still remain. We'll explore two of the greatest challenges for high growth women entrepreneurs:

  • Access to networks. Men and women in different networks is a societal issue that is magnified in the investment or fundraising scenario and a gender inclusive approach is needed. Currently there are too many women-only solutions and this approach excludes women from opportunities to which they should have access.
  • Self-assurance. Women still self assess lower than men, and therefore their business aspirations are often understated. With access to diverse networks and advisors and the opportunity to scale the business, women succeed.
Our panel, "Tech's Future is Female: Inclusive Innovation" features spotlight guests Sharon Vosmek (Astia), Meredith Finn (Salesforce Ventures), Jennifer Billock (Ozlo) and Janice Roberts (BGV) will sit down with Bill Malloy and Brian Nugent (Sway Ventures) to discuss bias in the workplace and how managers and executives can work to create a more inclusive and diverse company culture.

They will show us how behavior shifts in entrepreneurial ecosystems can lead to more robust levels of inclusive innovation, and highlight research on how access to business networks, expertise and capital play out across gender lines.
